Sketches/Nodemap

In order to make a map I created a Nodemap and sketches for DM-Arrows which I was able to use to create the map in the Unreal Tournament Editor. Afterwards I relied more on Playtesting and Iteration to Improve the map.

Research

I conducted research into the maps that were most often played by professional Unreal Tournament Players and I noted down what weapons, power-ups and Jump pad/elevators/teleporters each map had and used that to create my selection of weapons I would be using in my Map.

Playtesting and Iteration

Multiple playtests have been done and each of the playtests gave me feedback on Issues of the map which I then fixed and then repeated this process. Each of the playtests gave me feedback which was very different compared to the feedback previously received which highlighted new Issues each time.

Experience of the Project

Throughout this project I learned more about creating Level Designs in a 3d space and multiplayer deathmatch setting. In addition to this I learned about more ways for a player to express their mastery and reward their quick thinking, by way of Level Design.
